Prince Harry and Meghan Markle apparently considered living in New Zealand when deciding to step away from their royal roles. Governor-General Patsy Reddy, who represents Queen Elizabeth II in New Zealand, claimed the couple spoke with her about their interest in moving to the country during the 2018 royal tour.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s newborn daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, has officially been added to the royal line of succession more than seven weeks after her birth.  The official royal website was updated Monday after the family caught backlash over the weekend once people noticed that Lilibet had not been added to the succession line in a timely manner following her birth in June of 2021.

She has served as the longest-reigning and longest-lived monarch in British history. Before she took the throne, she married Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in 1947. Prince Philip sadly died in 2021 at age 99.

Prince George is preparing to turn eight. The young royal will celebrate the milestone on Thursday and his parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, marked the occasion in their traditional manner: By sharing a brand new photo of their son.

It wasn’t necessary for Prince Harry to ask Queen Elizabeth II permission to write his upcoming tell-all. On Wednesday, a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex told Fox News the royal recently engaged in a private discussion with his family about the planned book.

Prince Harry isn’t the first royal to step back from duties and later write a tell-all. His great-great-uncle, Edward, Duke of Windsor, produced a ghost-written biography titled "A King’s Story: The Memoirs of the Duke of Windsor" in 1951.
