Royal editor Roya Nikkhah explained: "The couple are understood to have set their hearts at first on Windsor Castle, and are believed to have asked the Queen if living quarters could be made available after their marriage." After denying them of their wish, the Queen decided to give them Frogmore Cottage, which they renovated and lived in for some time before stepping down from their positions in the Royal Family and moving to the US. Royal author and deputy Lord lieutenant of Berkshire, Hugo Vickers, told the Express that Prince Harry and Meghan's request may not have been "entirely appropriate".
