Prince William Sends Public Message of Support to Soccer Player Jake Daniels

LONDON – Trooping the Colour, an amazing spectacle of pomp and pageantry, finally returned to London this week for the first time since 2019.  Trooping the Colour showcased more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians going on parade, with mega crowds gathering in the streets of London for this special Platinum Jubilee edition. And what a day it’s been.

A historic occasion! Prince Charles, Prince William and Princess Anne inspected the British troops on Queen Elizabeth II’s behalf, in which they received their first salute.

The Queen, alongside Prince William, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton), and their three kids, Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, watch the RAF flyover during the Trooping the Colour parade on Thursday (June 2) in London, England.

So much for all that brotherly love. Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are reportedly planning to miss their niece’s big first birthday!

Prince William and Kate Middleton attended the "Top Gun: Maverick" London premiere at London’s Leicester Square Thursday night. The royal couple walked in alongside the film's star, Tom Cruise, speaking in front of a fighter jet stationed near the red carpet.

William looked smart in his tailored tuxedo. However, fans were quick to point out an unusual feature on William’s shoes. The Crocket & Jones loafers had a silver plane attached in a nod to the fighter jet flown by Cruise’s character in the film.

A 17-year-old is the first actively out professional soccer player in Britain since 1990.Blackpool’s Jake Daniels is the first member of the Premier League in over 20 years to be out while actively playing soccer. In an interview on Monday with British media outlet Sky News, Jake Daniels came out as gay. In the video, Daniels explained he felt it was time after “such a long time of lying” about his identity. Daniels was signed as a forward onto the Blackpool team in February of 2022.

Olympic cycling hero Dame Laura Kenny has officially been made a Dame Commander of the British Empire by the Duke of Cambridge at Windsor Castle. After first being awarded a Damehood in The Queen’s official New Year Honours list earlier this year, Dame Laura, 30, officially received her medal from Prince William today. Laura’s husband, Sir Jason Kenny, 34, was also honoured in the list with a Knighthood.The pair, who are GB Team cyclists, are the most successful married couple in Olympics history, and both took home gold medals in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics which took place in 2021.

Footballer Jake, 17, told Sky Sports that he believed he was "ready to tell people my story" after coming out to his parents, his football club and teammates while letting his fans "know the real me".
