Prince Harry Wore His Military Uniform At The Queen’s Vigil With William His Cousins

Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle were "very well protected" during a time of great loss – but the Duke of Sussex may still take the British government to court over his security arrangements in the U.K. Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, died Sept. 8 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

The Palace has clarified the seating arrangement at the Queen's state funeral on Monday, after Prince Harry and his wife Meghan were seated behind King Charles and Camilla. Members of the royal family came together to say their final goodbyes to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth at Westminster Abbey on Monday with the Queen's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in attendance.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seated behind King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla at the funeral, with some wondering why his brother William was on the other side.

Prince Harry may end up dropping his book deal after coming together with the Royal Family for Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral, a royal photographer has said. Last year, Harry, 37, announced plans for his tell-all book, in which will focus on his time as a young royal living in the United Kingdom, all the way up to becoming a dad-of-two now living in Los Angeles. Queen Elizabeth II's funeral on Monday, Prince Harry arrived wearing his morning suit and military medals. He then processed behind his grandmother's coffin as it moved from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey for her State Funeral service. As has been an ongoing conversation throughout the official events surrounding the queen's funeral, the Duke of Sussex was not permitted to wear his military uniform to the State Funeral on Monday at Westminster Abbey.His father, King Charles III, and older brother, Prince William, were both seen in their uniforms.

Despite being allowed to wear his ceremonial military uniform to Queen Elizabeth II’s final vigil, Prince Harry’s outfit seemingly did not have one aspect that Prince William’s suit did.

Queen Elizabeth II's grandchildren paid her a touching tribute on Saturday. Prince Harry and Prince William were decked out in their full military uniforms, at the request of their father, King Charles III, alongside their cousins, standing vigil at their grandmother's coffin in Westminster Hall for 15 minutes of silence.

Prince Harry has appeared alongside the Queen's children and grandchildren in his military uniform at the vigil for Her Majesty. All eight of the grandchildren are to pay their respects at the vigil in Westminster Hall.

Now, the Mirror has reported that the Prince will wear his military uniform on Saturday 17 September in a special tribute to the late sovereign. It appears the Duke of Sussex will don his military colours for a lying-in-state vigil staged by the Queen's grandchildren at Westminster Hall.

Prince Harry turned 38 on Thursday but don't expect the Duke of Sussex to commemorate the occasion publicly, if at all, following Queen Elizabeth II's death.A source close to the royal family tells ET that the family is in a one-month period of mourning and Harry is not expected to do anything to mark the day, except spend it privately. Her Majesty died one week before Harry's birthday, and since then a number of events have taken place and will continue taking place, culminating with Elizabeth's state funeral scheduled for Monday at 6 a.m.

Meghan Markle was on hand to offer support to her husband, Prince Harry, following Queen Elizabeth II’s service at Westminster Hall on Wednesday. Following the emotional ceremony, which began with a processional of the queen’s coffin from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey, the royal family exited the church ahead of the royal’s official lying in state.  After the 20-minute ceremony, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex held hands as they walked behind Prince William and Kate Middleton.
