The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, has returned to California after catching a British Airways flight within hours of his father King Charles’ Coronation. Harry arrived at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) at around 7.30pm local time (3.30am UK) to reunite with his son on his birthday. Prince Archie turned four on Saturday and spent the day with his mother, Meghan Markle, at their US home.

The Duke of Sussex was there to see the crowning of his father, King Charles III, and his wife Camilla at Westminster Abbey on his own while his wife Meghan Markle is at home in California with their two children.

He seemed in good spirits, smiling and chatting with Beatrice's husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and sat with his family — next to Eugenie's husband, Jack Brooksbank, and directly behind his aunt, Anne, Princess Royal.

Prince Harry's car has already been seen leaving London, as he appears to have snubbed the invtiation to lunch with his father, the newly crowned King Charles, and the rest of the Royal Family. Harry was seen smiling as he departed Westminster Abbey in a black car, with the same car later spotted being escorted out of the capital by a police motorcade, seemingly heading towards Heathrow Airport.
