Prince Harry has 'absolutely no regrets' over his Netflix series showcasing his life with Meghan Markle, according to a royal source.
The Duke of Sussex is reportedly 'delighted' following the release of the first three episodes of the series, despite the intense backlash he has faced. The docuseries tells the story of how Meghan and Harry met and fell in love, as well as giving viewers insight into why they chose to step down as senior royals.
The first instalment gave viewers a look at the couple's life in California, showing intimate moments as well as never before seen footage of the pair and their children - Archie, three, and Lilibet, one.
Speaking to the Mirror, the royal insider said Prince Harry wants King Charles and Prince William to watch the show to understand their situation. Harry is reportedly keen to make peace with his estranged family, despite the reports that the brothers' bond is 'irreversibly damaged'.
“Harry is delighted with the narrative of the documentary and how he and Meghan came across,” said the source, who is a close friend of his late mother, Princess Diana.
“The reason for doing this was to share their truth on their lives. He feels it told the story he wanted the world to hear and has absolutely no regrets.”
In scenes from the docuseries, Harry slammed the “unconscious bias” of racism within the monarchy when he started dating Meghan. Recalling her first meeting with Kate and William, Meghan said that the formality of it surprised her.
The source added: “Harry and Meghan hope family members and courtiers will watch or, more importantly, listen to their comments. But they know nothing they speak about will be addressed in public.
“They hope it may prompt a greater understanding from the King
