A grieving Prince Harry was seen putting on a brave face as he made the journey back to London from Balmoral following the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. The Duke of Sussex, 37, left the Queen's Scottish estate just over 12 hours after arriving in a sadly failed bid to say goodbye to his late grandmother alongside father King Charles III and other Royal Family members. On Friday, grieving Harry was seen attempting to comfort an Aberdeen Airport worker, selflessly wrapping an arm around her as they talked before he boarded his plane.
He took a British Airways flight which landed at London Heathrow Airport at 11:32am. Harry was the last royal to arrive Balmoral on Thursday night, heartbreakingly arriving shortly after the monarch's death was publicly announced. He was then then the first to leave on Friday as his brother William and other close members remained at the Aberdeenshire castle.
A couple of hours later the King and Queen also left Balmoral en route to Aberdeen airport where they were also set to fly back to London. Dressed in a black suit with white shirt and carrying a black backpack, Harry was snapped walking and talking with an airport worker in a yellow high-visibility jacket and put a reassuring hand on her shoulder as she offered her condolences. Harry was earlier pictured being driven out of the Royal Family's Scottish home in a black Range Rover at 8.26am, having only arrived at Balmoral at 7.52pm the night before.
