Prince William and Kate Middleton have been enjoyed a well-deserved break for their royal duties, but have put their family holiday on the back-burner for a short while, in order to highlight a new important initiative.The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge jetted off for a half-term break with their children last week, and were spotted at Heathrow airport prior to their departure.

Prince William reportedly clashed with his grandmother the Queen over his 2011 wedding to Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey in central London.The 39 year old royal, who celebrated his ten year wedding anniversary with Kate earlier this year, was said to have found himself in a dispute against the Monarch over his choice of clothing during his big day.

The Queen had to give Prince William and Kate Middleton special permission to go on holiday as a family with their three children last week.The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 39, were seen at Gatwick Airport jetting off to an undisclosed location for the half-term break with their three children Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six and Prince Louis, three. It's rare for the family to be allowed to fly together due to an unusual unwritten travel rule in place for the royals.

Prince William impressed fans on Thursday 14 October as he revealed that he could speak Spanish while taking part in a Q&A on the Royal Family Instagram account. Asked if he knew any Spanish, the Duke of Cambridge, 39, responded in the same language: “Yes, a little”.

Prince William has said that Prince George becomes “confused and annoyed” by litter.The royal family have a number of eco friendly habits they maintain, with George now taking part by working with his school, Thomas’s Battersea, to pick up rubbish around the local area. But the young royal has confided in his dad that it annoys him when it appears to be back the very next day in the same places.
