Prince Andrew's sex assault trial will be 'crippling' for Royal Family, says expert

Prince Andrew has agreed not to repeat that he didn't rape Virginia Guiffre due to a clause in their out-of-court settlement, The Telegraph has reported.The Duke of York, 61, avoided heading into court by financially settling with Virginia, 38, for what is said to be £12million – which the Queen will reportedly help pay. However, according to the publication, as part of a gagging clause in the settlement, neither side can discuss the sex abuse case or the financial deal.

Queen Elizabeth has made her first in-person audience since her son Prince Andrew settled his sexual assault lawsuit outside of court.The monarch, 95, already had the date for the official engagement set in her dairy before it was announced the Duke of York had settled with Virginia Roberts. Her Majesty met with met the incoming Defence Services Secretary Major General Eldon Millar, and his predecessor Rear Admiral James Macleod at Windsor Castle on Wednesday 16 February. She was seen in a blue and pink floral dress and a set of pearls around her neck as she met with the Defence Service officials.

The Queen is reportedly all set to help Prince Andrew pay off his £12million settlement to accuser Virginia Giuffre.

Prince Andrew's comeback will be "impossible" following the settlement of his civil sex assault case, a royal expert has claimed. UPDATE 2/15/2022: Prince Andrew, 61, agreed to settle the sexual assault lawsuit from Virginia Giuffre, 38, according to the Washington Post. Virginia’s attorneys sent a letter to the court and said Prince Andrew “intends to make a substantial donation to Ms. Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights,” court docs reportedly show. The letter also reportedly reads, “Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms. Giuffre’s character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks.” The sum of the settlement will reportedly not be disclosed.

Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre, who accused the royal of sexual abuse, have reached an out of court settlement.  According to court documents filed Tuesday, Andrew will donate funds to Giuffre's charity in support of victims of sexual assault. Prince Andrew could have assets seized from his £30million home by bailiffs if he loses his sex case trial, one lawyer has claimed. Virginia Giuffre, now 38, claims she was trafficked by billionaire Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell to have sex with the Duke of York in London in 2001 when she was 17. She also alleges that she was forced to have sex with the 62 year old at Epstein’s home in New York and the US Virgin Islands.

All of the sex abuse allegations denied by Prince Andrew's legal team have been revealed in court documents ahead of the court case later this year.

Prince Andrew's legal team have filed papers in which the Duke of York denies all the allegations of sex abuse made by Virginia Roberts.The Duke of York's legal counsel, Andrew Brettler, gave a detailed rebuttal of all of Virigina's claims in the papers filed in New York on Wednesday 26 January. Andrew's new legal files also request the Royal be granted a trial by jury, too. In the papers it states he "hereby demands a trial by jury on all causes of action asserted in the complaint".
