Tributes have poured in for a leading doctor and fearless campaigner who has died at the age of 73.
Dr Kailash Chand OBE, was renowned for his work as a GP in Tameside, and for fighting to stop the privatisation of the NHS.
Colleagues and local politicians announced his sudden and shock death on social media this evening.
