This is the face of a man police want to ‘identify’ in connection with football hooliganism during Manchester City’s final home game last season.
City beat Aston Villa 3-2 to clinch the Premier League title on May 22, having trailed the Birmingham side by two goals as late as the 75th minute. The win sparked wild celebrations from fans.
However, some took it too far and there were a series of incidents of disorder at the game. Police say they have already ‘issued Football Banning Orders totalling 10 years and fines accumulating over £3,000 following the disorder that was present’ in connection with the fixture.

Now, however, they are asking for the public to identify the man in this image — because GMP believe the man is linked to an incident where a flare burned a fan.
A tweet from the force said: “We are also still wanting to identify this man in relation to the same game who we believe is an Aston Villa supporter after a flare was thrown that hit a female fan causing burn marks.”
Members of the public with more information are being asked to call 0161 856 3907.
