A woman with an American accent is being hunted by police following the theft of a historic headstone from an Edinburgh graveyard.

Police are appealing for help from the public to trace a man with dementia who has been reported missing from his home in Ayrshire.
John Cummings, 65, was last seen at his address in Irvine at 7.30am on Thursday, August 11. He is described as 5ft11in, with red/auburn thinning hair.
When last seen he was wearing brown trousers, a yellow shirt and a black flat cap. He is described as suffering from dementia.
Inspector Lyall of Police Scotland, Ayr Division, said: "John’s family are very concerned for his welfare and appeal to anyone who believes they may have seen John today to contact the police immediately".
