Greater Manchester Police (GMP) last night seized a car that had been 'driven at officers'.
They say the vehicle, a grey Honda, had failed to stop for patrols earlier this week.
Late on Tuesday night, police said they were able to prevent the car from making off - but said its driver abandoned their passenger and fled from officers on foot.
The passenger was detained and enquiries are ongoing, said GMP.
