Residents were woken by a loud blast after a house caught fire in Longsight.
Firefighters were called to the property on Stockport Road, on the Grove Village Estate at around 3.30am on Saturday.
It's understood that the blaze is being treated as a suspected arson attack.

No one was inside the property or injured, according to the fire service.
