David Jason today revealed his 'delight' at discovering he has a 52-year-old daughter he had no idea existed until they appeared on stage together and a friend in the audience noticed they had similar profiles and the same shaped nose. The Only Fools and Horses star, 83, who previously believed he only had one 22-year-old daughter, has 'welcomed' Abi Harris and his grandson Charlie, ten, into the Jason family - and they spent their first Christmas together last year. Ms Harris, who was born in 1970, is the daughter of actress Jennifer Hill - who starred in Octopussy and had a brief relationship with Sir David in a stage production of Dylan Thomas's Under Milk Wood, also starring Hi-de-Hi's Ruth Madoc and Windsor Davies from It Ain't Half Hot Mum, at the May Fair Theatre in London.

A top energy expert is warning that “a few thousand” people over State Pension age only have until the end of this week to claim winter heating bill help, worth up to £600. Malcolm Grimston, Senior research fellow for Energy Policy and Technology at Imperial College London, said that millions of pensioners have already received the payment automatically, but two specific groups may not - and they need to make a claim before March 31, 2023.

It’s Iran’s first Spring festivities since the death of Jina “Mahsa” Amini, the 22-year-old Iranian Kurdish woman who died while in police custody for allegedly wearing a loose headscarf. On Nowruz, which means “New Day,” Iranian activist Naza Alakija is paying tribute to Iran’s “Woman. Life. Freedom.” movement with the release of a powerful short film titled “Rise” about a young woman who, like Amini, pushes back agains Iran’s morality police and is kidnapped from the streets of Tehran. Alakija, who is the founder and CEO of London-based Evoca Foundation, produced the short – which features British-Iranian actress Yasaman Mohsani (“Secret Invasion”) as the victim – with partners who have chosen to remain anonymous for fear of retribution from Iran’s security forces, as has the film’s female director.

Media Fund APX Group Takes 50% Stake in U.K.’s Twickenham Studios

Naman Ramachandran U.S.-Europe media fund APX Group has acquired a 50% stake in London’s Twickenham Film Studios. The move comes weeks after Twickenham Studios chair Sunny Vohra acquired a 6.95% stake in the APX Group for more than $70 million, reflecting a market cap of $1.1 billion for APX, which is planning a public listing on New York Stock Exchange later this year. APX and Twickenham did not disclose the financial value of the deal. As part of the acquisition, APX Group will rebrand its global network of studios with the Twickenham Studios name. The parties have also agreed on an accelerated expansion plan to acquire additional studios and land suited for studio construction in Europe and the U.S., all under the Twickenham Studios brand.
