Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “secretly planning a year-long reconciliation with the royal family” - but not just yet. According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will only get in contact with the royals after their Netflix show airs and Prince Harry’s memoir is released, says the Daily Mail.

Piers Morgan caused outcry among TV viewers earlier today after criticising Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during the coverage of the state funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II. Despite making somewhat of a surprising U-turn last week when he called Prince William and Prince Harry’s reunion “heart-rendering”, the outspoken presenter has ruffled feathers once again while discussing the division between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the royal family. The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 57, was covering Her Majesty’s funeral for US TV station Fox News, when he told viewers that it was “hard to forgive” Harry and Meghan following their interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.

Piers Morgan is known to be outspoken on his views about Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, however, he's done something of a U-turn after describing Harry and his brother Prince William's vigil reunion 'heart-rending'. A not-so-united front. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not join the royal family to meet with world leaders ahead of Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral on Sunday, September 18, after seemingly being uninvited.

The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drama continued into the weekend as it wasn’t clear if the Sussexes would be attending a pre-funeral reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.  The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who settled in California after stepping down as senior royals in 2020 – reportedly initially received an invitation to the Sunday evening reception, but conflicting reports said they were and weren’t expected to attend.  According to the Telegraph, they have now been uninvited because palace officials insisted that the reception hosted by King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, is only for working royals, which Harry and Meghan are not. "It would have broken Diana's heart."
