Pierce Brosnan doesn’t care who is named next James Bond

Zack Sharf Pierce Brosnan is joining the DC Universe with his role as Doctor Fate in “Black Adam,” but in a different universe the James Bond actor might have been none other than Bruce Wayne/Batman. Brosnan revealed on “The Tonight Show” that he met with Tim Burton to audition for the director’s 1989 “Batman” movie, but a “stupid” comment cost him the role. “It was the last thing on my mind to be playing a superhero like Doctor Fate,” Brosnan said, adding that he’s rarely been offered roles in superhero movies throughout his career. “No, not really no. I mean, I went up for ‘Batman’ way back in the day when Tim Burton was doing it. Obviously, I didn’t get the job.”

Actor Pierce Brosnan has filed a restraining order against a woman who he claims is stalking both him and his family. The "James Bond" actor issued the complaint on Friday in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Times. He alleged that the 55-year-old woman, identified as Michelle Welch Mulready, had been "parked in front of my house, stalking me, my family and guests." Pierce Brosnan has filed a restraining order against a woman he alleges has been stalking him and his family.

After longtime James Bond actor Daniel Craig gave his final bow to the character in 2021, fans have long speculated Idris Elba would make a suitable replacement. However, new comments from Elba and 007 producers indicate it may not happen.  During an episode of "The Shop" on HBO, Elba discussed the prospect of playing Bond, adding he did not think it would "satisfy" his personal or career goals.  "I don't think that playing Bond will satisfy some of my personal goals," the 50-year-old said.
