EXCLUSIVE: Michael Shannon, is set to make his directorial debut with Eric Larue, which is based on the Brett Neveu play. The play debuted at A Red Orchid Theatre in Chicago in 2002, where Michael Shannon is a founding member. Neveu is also adapting the script.

SXSW – will expand to Australia next year, marking the first time in the event’s 36-year history that an international edition will be held.Since its launch in 1987, SXSW has grown exponentially; this year’s edition, for example, ran for 10 days across March 11-20. It’s long called Austin, Texas home, but the team behind it have held spin-off events – like North By Northwest (NXNW) in Portland, North By Northeast (NXNE) in Toronto, and West By Southwest (WXSW) in Tucson – in years past.

Robin Williams' only daughter has been tapped to direct , a Focus Features film starring Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse, ET confirms.In the film, which is set in 1989, an unpopular high schooler accidentally re-animates a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm and starts to rebuild him into the man of her dreams using the broken tanning bed in her garage.Academy Award winner Diablo Cody wrote the script, and will serve as a producer on the project alongside Mason Novick. Jeff Lampert will be an executive producer for the film, while Focus Features’s Vice President of Production and Development, Michelle Momplaisir, will serve as the creative executive on the project.Williams tweeted about the news on Wednesday, writing, «Zomb-com incoming! Two Door Cinema Club have released the music video for the single ‘Wonderful Life’ from their upcoming fifth studio album ‘Keep On Smiling’.The exuberant music video was released on June 24, featuring visuals inspired by Andy Warhol and British artist Alan Fears that match the energy of the trio’s new track. Pink Floyd have announced a physical release date for their Ukraine benefit single ‘Hey Hey Rise Up’, which marked the rock titans’ first new song in 25 years when it arrived digitally back in April.The new song will be available as both a seven-inch vinyl and CD single on July 15 in the UK, Europe and other markets, while it will be released on August 3 in Japan. In North America, Canada, Australia and Mexico, it will arrive on October 21.The B-side will feature a reworked version of ‘A Great Day For Freedom’, from Pink Floyd’s 1994 album ‘The Division Bell’, reimagined by David Gilmour based on the original tapes for the track.‘Hey Hey Rise Up’ was recorded in March of this year.

Perfume Genius has shared a new surreal short film that is an accompaniment to his new album, ‘Ugly Season’.The 28 minute short film, entitled Pygmalion’s Ugly Season, is directed by visual artist Jacolby Satterwhite and features music from the album, as well as an appearance from Perfume Genius – real name Michael Hadreas.In a press release, Hadreas said: “I gave him [Satterwhite] free reign,” when it came to directing the short.He went on: “We’re both the same age, I feel very aligned with Jacolby when it comes to taste and certain pop culture obsessions.
