Holly Willoughby addressed co-host Phillip Schofield's absence on Monday's episode of This Morning. During the latest episode of the hit ITV chat show, Phillip, 60, was replaced by Alison Hammond.
As the show opened, Holly addressed Phillip's absence, revealing that he was taking the week off. Holly said: "Hello, good morning and welcome to your Monday's This Morning.
Phillip is having the week off so all the adults have left the building and Alison has come! Is it weird being here on a Monday?" To which Alison replied: "It's lovely! It's nice actually, start the week off, it's fantastic and you're here." With Holly adding: "It's lovely having you here!" The presenter also took to Instagram to share the news alongside a snap of her outfit of the day, writing: "Morning Monday… it’s a girls takeover today, sharing the sofa with the legendary @alisonhammond55 … "See you on @thismorning at 10am… #hwstyle dress by @phaseeight." Holly's fans and celebrity pals were quick to react to the news as Nicole Appleton said: "Yasss" with heart emojis. While a different account put: "You both look lovely" with a heart.
It comes as Alison revealed she would be hosting Monday's show during Friday's episode of the ITV chat show. "On Monday's This Morning, Shirley Ballas will be here as she reveals why her latest project will be more competitive than Strictly," Alison said.
While her co-host Dermot O'Leary added: "David Domoney has all you need to know about getting your garden ready for Spring." To which Alison then revealed: "Guess what, I'm going to be hosting.
