Man Utd slap staggering loan fee on Anthony Martial despite flop's miserable form
Ralf Rangnick took interim charge of the team, though he was named on the bench for their Premier League trip to Brentford on Wednesday. The Frenchman’s exclusion has been as a result of both injuries and his desire to leave Old Trafford after a seven-year spell in which he has failed to live up to his £58million transfer fee.He continued to flop this season, despite being handed opportunities to impress by former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, scoring just one goal in the 359 minutes he has played. With little sign that he can become a regular starter under Rangnick, Martial made the decision to request a transfer. But he is currently being prevented from leaving by United’s remarkably high asking price considering his form in recent seasons.According to Sport Mediaset, via Football Italia, United are charging a loan fee of around £5m for the attacker. That price is described as being ‘extraordinary’ considering Martial’s situation at United and the fact he will only be at his loan club for five months.Should Manchester United reduce their asking price to allow Anthony Martial to leave? Let us know in the comments section...It is also stated that United would be expecting a loan club to pay Martial’s wages in full, which would cost another £5m.That would bring the total fee to the region of £10m, an astonishing price for a player who has failed so badly to impress. The high demands look set to scupper United’s attempts to move him on, with Juventus general manager Maurizio Arrivabene making it clear his club would not be signing Martial for that price.Another potential suitor in Newcastle are also said to have ‘baulked’ at United’s asking price, leaving Martial with few destinations after Sevilla’s bid for him was rejected.

Covid-19 cases, reports Leicestershire Live."During the autumn term we were suffering with very high levels of staff sickness but we managed to maintain good service until Christmas,” the catering manager wrote in a letter sent to parents.“With the ongoing pandemic and the increase in Omicron cases, this situation worsened after Christmas."We have robust contingency plans in place to deal with staff shortages and these plans involve a simplified menu which can be delivered with fewer staff."While we are experiencing high levels of staff absence, we will be introducing a simplified menu. This will start from Monday 17 January 2022."A simplified menu will ensure we can continue to support the seamless delivery of good quality, hot, healthy school meals at your school every day."But one of the parents – who has chosen to remain anonymous – has hit out at the move.“It's gone from being a varied, fairly interesting menu to being pretty much constant potatoes,” the parent told Leicestershire Live."On one day, one of the menu options is a jacket potato with chicken mayonnaise that you can have with a side of jacket potato."On other days, you can order a jacket potato with jacket wedges, creamy mashed potatoes, chips, minted potatoes and parsley potatoes."I understand that everyone is dealing with staff shortages, but why does that mean that our kids now have to exist on a diet of potatoes cooked in different ways?"It's especially tough for vegetarian or vegan kids.

'Not going to do it anymore' Phillip Schofield's awkward moment with Christine Lampard
Phillip Schofield, 59, has looked back on the skating dance routine he performed with former co-host Christine Lampard, 42.  The Dancing On Ice host said he was “persuaded” to do the routine but that he would not do it again.Phillip explained how he and Christine practised for the nerve-racking moment and that he initially thought they were “incredible”.He told Daily Star: “I'm not going to do it anymore.“I’ve had my moment on the ice.""When Holly was having babies, I did the show with Christine [Lampard]."Christine and I were persuaded to do a routine on the ice.”Phillip went on: “We practised, and practised and practised."I thought we were incredible, we went out and I could feel the wind whistling through my hair through the routine and I thought, 'This is amazing.'”However, it was when he looked back on his performance that Phillip realised that he had his final “moment” on ice.He continued: “I watched it back and I had never seen anyone go so slowly.“And I thought, 'Okay that felt better than it looked, I think I'm not going to do it anymore.'"So, I've had my moment on the ice."Phillip recently admitted that Dancing On Ice bosses have “banned” him from hitting the rink.He said they were worried he might hurt himself while attempting to ice skate. It followed a close call back when the show began 15 years ago.He told The Sun: “So I had a go, then I looked up and there were five suits standing on the lectern and I thought, ‘That doesn't look good.’“They said, ‘You are not insured, you can't skate, you have to come off.’“I thought if I take responsibility for myself, it's nobody's fault if I fall over and hurt myself.”But that did not prevent the popular This Morning star from getting a scolding.Phillip added: “So the

'Needed it' Holly Willoughby admits sneaking gin into Dancing On Ice amid 'stressful' time
The last series had been increasingly fraught with tension, after Denise van Outen, Billie Faiers, and Jason Donovan all bowed out due to injury. In light of the catastrophes, Phillip recently admitted he had been banned from hitting the rink himself out of fears he would lose his footing and succumb to injury too.Holly was forced to share the sad news that 47-year-old Denise van Outen had suffered a dislocated shoulder and three bone fractures barely two weeks into the competition.Shockingly, she battled through the pain and continued skating for 15 hours after the dislocation so as not to "bother" the NHS.Soon afterwards came 31-year-old TOWIE star Billie, who had a terrifying head injury and, finally, 53-year-old Aussie actor Jason Donovan, who made it to the sixth week of action before a back injury ended his Dancing On Ice dreams. The string of injuries, together with contestants testing positive for Covid and reserve participants having to be drafted in at the last moment, all caused stress and anxiety for Holly.Baby-faced Emmerdale star Joe-Warren Plant and his pro partner Vanessa Bauer both succumbed to the virus and were forced to leave amid fears the entire series would collapse if Covid spread any further between the cast.Meanwhile, the show was unnervingly quiet, as due to social distancing restrictions, it was filmed without a live studio audience. However, it was nothing that a stiff G&T wouldn't solve.Holly was quick to point out to MailOnline: "We don’t do this on every ad break but for the final there was no wrap party and after the last series we all needed it."Meanwhile, Phillip was careful to avoid the rink after being warned of liability issues ever since he first began hosting the show.Claiming that
