Peter Kay fans have been left delighted after the comic returned to Scotland for the first time in 12 years on Sunday, hailing his show 'absolutely brilliant'.
He was at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow as part of his UK stand-up tour and many people had previously called for an extra night due to popular demand and tickets selling out fast.
Peter will return to the venue this spring after he added Friday May 5, to his busy schedule.
Last night (Sunday) hundreds of people travelled from across the country to see the much anticipated show.
Scots funny woman Janey Godley was among those in the crowd, and she posted about her experience on Twitter. The 62-year-old shared a selfie with her two pals, saying: "We are almost on the front row for Peter Kay".
Taking to social media after the show one fan wrote: "Brilliant show in Glasgow. Well done. Waited a long time to see you and well worth it. Thank you."
Another commented: "What a night at Glasgow Peter Kay absolutely brilliant never lost it." A third added: "Thanks to @peterkay_co_uk for a great night’s fun and laughter at Glasgow Hydro #Yes"
A fourth tweeted: "First show I've seen post Covid. Wasn't disappointed in the least. Great to see you back. Thanks for a great night in Glasgow."
"What a night in Glasgow. Still as funny after all those years off. Best of luck for the rest of the tour," said a fifth.

Owen Gleiberman Chief Film Critic No genre of the last few decades can get on my nerves like the indie quirkfest. You know: those movies that keep poking you in the ribs to giggle at their cutely addled characters with their adorable eccentricities — I’m talking woe-is-us hipster comedies like “Pieces of April,” “Lars and the Real Girl” and the pop-crossover “Citizen Kane” of the genre, “Little Miss Sunshine.” The trouble with these movies is that even as they pretend to be lifesize, they’re too conscious about packaging their prefab weirdness; they’re edgy sitcoms minus the laugh tracks. But Rebecca Miller’s “She Came to Me,” which opened the Berlin Film Festival today, demonstrates how the indie quirkfest can be resonant and real, with characters who have soul instead of a chewy center.
