Pete Davidson is reportedly “leaving Saturday Night Live” after eight years on the show. According to sources, the comedian’s final appearance on the hit show is expected to air over this weekend when season 47 comes to a close. It comes days after Pete, 28, graced the stage at NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation to introduce his new Peacock comedy, Bupkis.
Bupkis is “a heightened, fictionalised version of Pete’s real life,” according to Variety. Pete joined the cast of Saturday Night Live as a 20 year old and, according to reportsm this weekend’s episode with actress Natasha Lyonne hosting will be his last. Most notably, Pete has been in the limelight recently thanks to his romance with Kim Kardashian.
And it seems that the comedian could be making their relationship the centre of a Netflix comedy. He is said to be gearing up to release his comedy special on Netflix, where he is expected to divulge details of his relationship with Kim that is slated for release on June 13, Mail Online have reported. Kim, 41, met Pete on the show when she made her hosting debut last year and since then romance rumours swirled around the couple.
During her appearance on the show the pair acted out a skit dressed as Aladdin and Jasmine from the Disney classic, and things got a little heated as they ended the skit by sharing a kiss. In November 2021 the pair seemed to confirm the dating rumours with an Instagram snap of them donning matching pyjamas from the reality star’s SKIMS collection. Since then the relationship has continued to blossom gradually, with Pete even escorting Kim to the MET Gala earlier in May.
