The late night staple is set for its biggest cast overhaul in years after Saturday night’s season 47 finale. Who all is leaving??

He’s really only showed up on the show every now and then, mostly in parody songs like the recent Short-Ass Movie, with rapper Gunna, Chris Redd, and special guest Simon Rex. He’s been getting bigger and bigger movie roles, including The Home and the rom com Meet Cute with Kaley Cuoco. If anything, SNL has become his side hustle while standup and movies are the main gig!
OK, so that’s not the biggest surprise. But he’s far from alone! Also taking their final bow, according to Deadline, are longtime fan favorites Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, and Kate McKinnon!
Aidy has been juggling two jobs for the past couple years, both the sketch show AND being the creator and star of Shrill on Hulu. Kyle follows his partner Beck Bennett, who was the only major cast member to leave last year.
Kate has obviously been a huge standout ever since her arrival. She has been nominated for an astounding EIGHT Emmy awards for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Show during her run on the show, winning twice. She’s starred in movies, like

Pete Davidson‘s final sketches for Saturday Night Live, the comedian called upon Eminem to help pay tribute to the show’s creator Lorne Michaels. It was announced earlier this week that a number of cast members would be bidding farewell to the late night sketch show at the end of its 47th season which came to a close last night (May 21).The cast members leaving the show include Davidson, Kate McKinnon, Addy Bryant and Kyle Mooney, all of whom bid farewell to Studio 8H in their own way during last night’s season finale.Davidson’s farewell reflected on his first-ever appearance on the showin a segment alongside Colin Jost on the ‘Weekend Update’ desk. He then thanked SNL “for always having my back, for allowing me to work on myself and grow” and “for never giving up on me or judging me even when everyone else was”.The ‘Weekend Update’ wasn’t the only sendoff for Davidson: in a Cut for Time sketch, the comedian delivered a third and final Eminem parody dedicated to his mentor and SNL creator Lorne Michaels, much to the irritation of the Detroit rapper himself.Flipping Dr. Dre and Eminem’s 2000 hit ‘Forgot About Dre’ into ‘Forgot About Lorne’, Davidson – using deepfake technology – paid tribute to Michaels’ legacy while namechecking a number of past cast members that went to become household names because of Michaels. However, Davidson’s tribute gets cut short when Eminem stops by the studio and shuts the production down, lambasting the comedian for his Slim Shady-themed parodies over his SNL tenure. “Please, stop.

So thank you guys,” he said earnestly to the cast and crew.Lyonne’s monologue played up her “real New Yorker” status, and brought out her friends and former “SNL” cast members Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph, who did impressions of the “Orange is the New Black” star.“‘SNL’ combines everything I like.
Saturday Night Live bid farewell to four veteran cast members tonight, Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, Pete Davidson and Kyle Mooney. McKinnon, Bryant and Davidson, who have all become household names since SNL launched their careers, all got individual sendoffs with some of their most popular recurring skits. Mooney, who has spent most of his time on the show as a valuable but underrated performer, made an understated — yet dramatic — exit.
NEW YORK -- Kate McKinnon and Pete Davidson are among those departing from “Saturday Night Live," leaving the sketch institution without arguably its two most famous names after Saturday's 47th season finale.Aidy Bryant and Kyle Mooney will also leave the cast after the episode hosted by Natasha Lyonne. The departures represent one of the biggest cast shake-ups in years on a show that has seen unusual steadiness in recent seasons.McKinnon, 38, won two Emmys and was nominated for nine in her 10 seasons on the show, during which her impressions included Hillary Clinton, and former Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Her comic chops with characters like alien abductee Miss Rafferty frequently drove castmates and guest hosts to lose it live on air.McKinnon opened the show with an out-of-this-world skit, and said her final goodbyes on “Earth.”“I love ya, thanks for letting me stay awhile.
Saturday Night Live’s 48th season is going to look a little different. Variety reported Friday that Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, and Kyle Mooney are all expected to leave after the 47th season finale tomorrow. As noted by the outlet, the show typically recalibrates its caste of players and contributors during summer.McKinnon and Bryant joined the program in 2012 and have a decade of hilarious characters.
Pete Davidson is expected to announce he is leaving Saturday Night Live, according to a Variety report that cites “a person familiar with the matter”. The 28-year-old comedian was one of the youngest performers ever to be featured in SNL’s five decade history when he joined the cast in 2014. More recently, Davidson has become a tabloid mainstay as the boyfriend of Kim Kardashian, who he started dating after she hosted the sketch comedy series in October 2021.
