Television Critics Association press tour finally concluded on Wednesday after a dizzying number of sessions. Once again virtual due to the pandemic, the press tour was so long that a new show hyped by ABC one week into the tour had already been pulled from its lineup by the time TCA ended.The virtual tour was also marked by greater-than-usual access to executives, and had its share of technical glitches along with bittersweet goodbyes.

Disney Branded Television is expanding its development slate with three new projects — Paolo Santiago and the River of Tears,  a live action original series based on the novel, from Eva Longoria for Disney+; Tiny Trailblazers, an original animated series from Reese Witherspoon, who also will star, for Disney Junior; and Superfudge, an original animated movie based on the book, from The Russo Bros for Disney+. The projects were announced Monday as part of Disney Branded Television’s Winter TCA presentation.

Today at CBS’ Winter TCA press conference, The Amazing Race set 11 new teams for its 33rd season, kicking off with a two-hour premiere on January 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, which will air on CBS and be available for live and on-demand streaming on Paramount+.
