All Creatures Great and Small has confirmed its return and shared an exciting update with fans about the upcoming future series, the 2024 Christmas special and which cast members are set to return. The cast and crew of the popular period drama will soon be heading back to the Yorkshire Dales to shoot the hit adaptation by BAFTA award-winning production company Playground, based on the best-selling novels of real-life Thirsk vet Alf Wight, who wrote under the pen-name James Herriot. On Friday, Channel 5 confirmed the double commission of series 5 and 6 - as well as a beloved Christmas special.

The tinsel is up at Skeldale House, for another episode of All Creatures Great and Small, and after three Christmas specials, the show has fast become a festive staple. Samuel West, who plays vet Siegfried Farnon, admits he saves the December episode for when he goes home to see his parents, actors Timothy West and Prunella Scales. “I don't get as many notes from them as I used to,” jokes Samuel.

British actor Callum Woodhouse has signed with APA. Woodhouse is best known for playing Tristan Farnon opposite Samuel West on PBS' All Creatures Great and Small, a revival of the TV series about James Herriot's adventures as a veterinarian in 1930s Yorkshire.
