Tim Smith, the frontman of the British cult rock band Cardiacs, has died at age 59. A representative for the group, Mary Wren, confirmed the news in a statement provided to Fox News.

The Cardiacs, has reportedly died at the age of 59.The leader of the influential cult group had experienced ill health since suffering a heart attack in 2008, which caused him to develop the rare neurological disorder dystonia.Smith’s band were noted for their diverse style which took in art-pop and psychedelia, with the likes of Radiohead and Blur hailing them as an influence on their sound.More follows…
