EXCLUSIVE: Squid Game: The Challenge producer Studio Lambert has promoted a trio of senior execs as drama boss Sue Hogg steps back from the day to day.

Netflix renewed the reality show on Wednesday morning ahead of the Season 1 finale, where one person will win $4.56 million. After nine episodes of nail-biting games, forged and broken alliances and shocking betrayals, only three contestants remain after 453 have been eliminated: Mai, who is Player 287; Phil, Player 451; and Sam, Player 016.

Studio Lambert has introduced the world to Gogglebox, Race Across the World and The Circle but the indie has faced its greatest test in Netflix‘s Squid Game: The Challenge, and the road has been a bit of a bumpy one.

Trailer has dropped for Netflix’s Squid Game reality series, which launches November 22 with record prize money of $4.56M.

The dystopian drama “Squid Game” was such an enormous hit, it’s not a surprise that Netflix is turning the deadly game within the show into an actual competition — minus the killings, of course.Netflix announced on Tuesday that they are launching “Squid Game: The Challenge,” in which 456 real players will enter the game for a chance to win $4.56 million. “As they compete through a series of games inspired by the original show – plus surprising new additions – their strategies, alliances, and character will be put to the test while competitors are eliminated around them,” the Netflix logline reads.

According to Netflix, “Squid Game: The Challenge” will be “the biggest reality competition series ever,” hosting the largest cast and offering the largest lump sum cash prize in reality television history as 456 players compete for $4.56 million.Contestants will go through a series of games inspired by the original show, plus new additions, which are all intended to test their strategies, alliances and character as others are eliminated around them.

EXCLUSIVE: Before the pandemic, Studio Lambert was set to bust out the moves and start production on a new dance competition series for Netflix.

NBC has been unveiled as the network behind the U.S. version of John de Mol’s Million Dollar Island (working title), the high-stakes social experiment that will be produced by Stephen Lambert’s Circle and Gogglebox producer Studio Lambert.

NBC has partnered with Studio Lambert to bring “Million Dollar Island” to the U.S. In “Million Dollar Island,” based on Talpa’s international adventure reality format, 100 contestants compete and build alliances to stay on a remote desert island for up to 50 days — in hopes of winning their share of a $1 million prize. Each contestant is given a bracelet worth $10,000, which they gain and lose during the show’s challenges.
