Paramount+ announced on Thursday morning that its Bob Marley biopic Bob Marley: One Love, starring Kingsley Ben-Adir, will begin streaming on the platform in the U.S. and Canada beginning Friday, April 12, with information as to the film’s availability in additional markets to be announced at a later date.

In a strange turn of unexpected events, writer/producer Terence Winter is returning for season two of “Tulsa King,” Paramount’s crime series starring Sylvester Stallone, a year to the month that he left. Amid reports of creative differences with Taylor Sheridan—the show’s creator who admitted he had trouble delegating and letting hired showrunner run their series— Winter stepped down from “Tulsa King” not long after season one finished its run (it took eight long months to be officially picked up for season two).

Terence Winter, who stepped down as showrunner of the Sylvester Stallone-starring mob drama Tulsa King after its first season, is back as a writer on Paramount+ series’ upcoming second season in addition to his continuing duties as an executive producer. The series, created by Taylor Sheridan, has opted not to bring in a replacement for Winter in line with the practice at the other Sheridan series produced by 101 Studios which don’t have a traditional showrunner. Instead, Tulsa King has hired a director/executive producer whose deal is still being finalized.

It jumps between Marley playing to concert after concert of adoring fans as the legendary artist’s music plays in the background. As the trailer continues it takes on a darker tone as it delves into Jamaica’s civil war during the 1970s.It all comes to a head right before the One Love Peace Concert.

Glimpses of Marley performing on stage to the singer relaxing with his family paint a picture of his life. The trailer, too, sets the scene for Marley’s assassination attempt, which he survived. By the end, viewers are left with a parting phrase: “One love, one heart, one destiny.”

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Ray Romano starred in one of television’s biggest sitcoms for 9 seasons and 210 episodes, but apparently Martin Scorsese was never watching “Everybody Loves Raymond.” During a recent interview on Marc Maron’s “WTF” podcast (via IndieWire), Raymond said that Scorsese had no idea who he was when casting him in the HBO series “Vinyl.” “Scorsese did the pilot and I had to go on tape for him,” Romano said. “The cool thing was, I went on tape and the response we got back was, ‘Yeah, Marty likes it. He’s in the running. And Marty wants to know who he is. He’s never seen him,’ And my agent was like, ‘So he’s never seen the show?’ And they go, ‘No, no, no, he doesn’t know who the guy is,’ which was a blessing because he didn’t have to erase the sitcom character from his mind.”

The series also stars Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Garrett Hedlund, and Domenick Lombardozzi.

Warning, Spoilers Abound: The Taylor Sheridan Universe got back in business tonight with two Fifth Season debut episodes of Yellowstone, and the launch of Tulsa King. Latter is the comedy that has Sly Stallone as its aging mobster star, and Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire vet Terence Winter as show runner. This will serve as a short recap of Yellowstone, with a thought or two on the potential of Tulsa King. Yellowstone is a Paramount Network show, while Tulsa King will find its place on the streaming service Paramount+, both produced by 101 Studios.

Is anyone working in Hollywood or TV as prolific as Taylor Sheridan? Even the term prolific may not do Sheridan’s recent output justice. He has four (yes, four) seasons of TV hitting this calendar year, with another, Season 2 of “Mayor Of Kingstown,” hitting Paramount+ next February.

Creator Taylor Sheridan had been intrigued by the idea of a show like Paramount+’s “Tulsa King,” which features Brooklyn-bred mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) being unceremoniously transplanted in Oklahoma. The “Yellowstone” creator, who also serves as executive producer, broke down the genesis of the series in a new making-of featurette.

In a couple of years, Sylvester Stallone’s mafio capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi is “gonna own this city.”
