The monthly price of YouTube Premium has risen by $2 to $13.99, while the cost of YouTube Music is also going up $1 to $10.99.

LA Times report. “I do think these deals are going to be fewer and farther apart because there’s a lot of belt-tightening right now,” Susanne Daniels, formerly YouTube’s global head of original content, told the outlet. This comes directly after Harry, 38, and Markle, 41, had their $20 million deal with Spotify end. The couple produced only one show with a measly 12 episodes, causing Spotify executive Bill Simmons to call them “f–king grifters.” A source told The Post that the couple’s Archewell Productions didn’t release enough content to get the full payout from that deal.

Susanne Daniels has resigned as YouTube’s global head of original content after six years, according to multiple media reports.There, Daniels developed “Cobra Kai,” which was a YouTube original before moving to Netflix after two seasons. She also developed “On Becoming a God in Central Florida,” which moved to Showtime.

Going forward, YouTube will only be funding programs that are part of its Black Voices and YouTube Kids funds, chief business officer Robert Kyncl said in a statement Tuesday.Citing the growth of YouTube’s Partner Program for ad-revenue sharing — which now tops 2 million participants — Kyncl said “now our investments can make a greater impact on even more creators when applied towards other initiatives.” “We will honor our commitment for already contracted shows in progress and creators who are involved with those shows should expect to hear from us directly in the coming days,” Kyncl wrote in the message posted to Twitter.When it first started out in originals, YouTube had planned to make a run at the subscription-streaming business.
