When you talk to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and you ask them to name the worst film in the 25 that have been released, the second “Thor” film, ‘The Dark World,’ is always going to be in the conversation. And the filmmaker behind that feature understands that there are problems with the film and would love to have a Snyder Cut-esque second chance if Marvel Studios wants to give him millions of dollars to see his original vision through.

If you try to follow the continuity of the DCEU, from “Man of Steel” through the Snyder Cut and into the upcoming “The Suicide Squad,” you might have questions. But that’s okay! The DCEU isn’t the MCU and continuity doesn’t mean nearly as much to the filmmakers, as long as the story is good.

Zack Snyder‘s 4-hour behemoth version of “Justice League” was released back in March on HBO Max, and the filmmaker can now focus on promoting his Netflix zombie franchise starter “Army of The Dead,” releasing later this month in both theaters and on streaming.

When Justice League released in 2017 with great pomp and splendour, unfortunately, it didn't meet up to the gigantic expectations at the global box-office and was also met with negative criticism from both critics and diehard DC aficionados alike.

The long epic drama surrounding ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” aka, the “Snydercut,” aka the director’s cut of “Justice League,” is nearly coming to an end. After leaving “Justice League” as a director in summer 2017 due to a family tragedy, the film being finished by Joss Whedon under Warner Bros.

The best part about the upcoming HBO Max release of “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” is that when everything is all released and the fans can see what the filmmaker’s vision of the film actually was, we can all just stop talking about the damn Snyder Cut. For three years now, we’ve talked about this mythical cut that was already done and just needed some finishing touches to be released but is now going to cost Warner Bros.

Back in May, after the world was told that Zack Snyder’s original vision for “Justice League” would be coming to HBO Max in 2021, dubbed “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” aka “The Snyder Cut,” it was reported that the cost of going back into production and finishing up the cut that already existed would cost upwards of $30 million. That seemed like a huge number for Warner Bros.

Now that the floodgates to “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” have opened, there is no turning back. Now that the holy grail of director’s cut and movie rumors was confirmed real, people are eager to see more than a short clip.

Don’t expect to see much of Joss Whedon‘s “Justice League” footage in the new Snyder Cut, now known as “Zack Snyder’s Justice League.” Though it shouldn’t come as a surprise, Zack Snyder himself confirmed he will absolutely not use any footage not shot by him. Indeed, Snyder went as far as saying he’d rather “destroy the movie” before using someone else’s footage.

It can be quite difficult to find a happy medium in film or other kinds of visual art, for that matter. Something that satisfies both subject matter purists and the average joe looking for some entertainment.

Next year, the world will be gifted “Zack Snyder’s Justice League.” But outside of that, there’s not much else we know about the film. Or is it going to be a miniseries? Again, we’re not sure.
