Actor Simon Bird has been filming scenes for the return of a popular Channel 4 show in Stockport today.

Emily Atack, the 34 year old comedy actress, surprised her fans over Christmas by announcing she's expecting her first child. She had been keeping a low profile and then reappeared with a baby bump.The star of The Inbetweeners said she's thrilled to be having her first baby with her nuclear scientist boyfriend, Dr Alistair Garner. Fans were excited for Emily, although some joked on social media that Will McKenzie, a character from The Inbetweeners played by Simon Bird, must be the baby's dad.

The Inbetweeners have signed up to a joint appearance at Comic Con in November. Simon Bird, 36, Blake Harrison, 35, Joe Thomas, 37, and James Buckley, 33, have agreed to talk about the E4 sitcom and its two feature length film releases at the event in Liverpool.

Friday Night Dinner star Paul Ritter has died at the age of 54. The star died of a brain tumour and passed away on Monday at home alongside his wife and two sons, his agent has told the Guardian.

We didn’t realise it, but we probably all practiced social distancing as teenagers.  Just look at the way Daniel (Earl Cave) shuffles along a good two metres in front of or behind mum Sue (Monica Dolan) in Simon Bird’s Days Of The Bagnold Summer.  Just like others of his age, he’s embarrassed to be seen with her: parents just aren’t cool, they don’t understand and they always, but always get everything wrong.  The set up for a coming of age story, then.

Coming to digital in less than a week is Simon Bird’s Days of the Bagnold Summer which stars Monica Dolan and Earl Cave. The movie is the directorial debut from Bird who you may know from his work acting in the likes of The Inbetweeners and Friday Night Dinner. We have a new poster for the movie which is out on digital on 8th June.

Emily Atack has been feeling a little nostalgic while being cooped up indoors isolating as she recently shared an Inbetweeners throwback snap with her co-star Simon Bird. The 30 year old, who played Simon's on-screen love interest Charlotte Hinchcliffe, posted the black-and-white picture on her Instagram feed.The sweet photo sees Emily sporting a mid-length blonde-bob with a deep side fringe as she wraps her arms around Simon, who played the show's main character, Will McKenzie.
