EXCLUSIVE: Coming off a main role in Outer Range, Shaun Sipos has joined another Prime Video series. He has been tapped as a major lead opposite Alan Ritchson in the upcoming second season of Reacher.

Prime Video has released the official trailer for the second season of Outer Range, the Josh Brolin starrer that follows a rancher who discovers an unfathomable phenomenon at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness.

Two years after it premiered, one of our favorite shows of 2022, “The Outer Range” returns this summer (read our review). Something of an unusual but welcome mix of “Yellowstone” family drama and existential “X-Files” sci-fi, “Outer Range” star Josh Brolin as a rancher in Wyoming fighting for his land and his family, who discovers something unfathomable on its outskirts.

Amazon Prime Video‘s acclaimed sci-fi Western series “Outer Range” is finally making its return. Today, the streaming service announced the series will debut on May 16 and shared some new first-look images from the show.

EXCLUSIVE: Robert Patrick (The Night Agent, Peacemaker) is playing a major role opposite lead Alan Ritchson in the upcoming second season of Prime Video’s Reacher. He took over the series regular role of Shane Langston from Rory Cochrane, who was originally cast in September before exiting at the end of last year due to scheduling conflict as the production schedule changed, Deadline has learned. He had not filmed any scenes, so the recasting did not require reshoots, I hear. Production on Season 2 of Reacher wrapped in late February.

The Abbotts are coping with the disappearance of daughter-in-law Rebecca (Kristen Connolly) and are pushed further to the brink when the Tillersons, the gaudy owners of the neighboring profit-driven ranch, make a play for their land. An untimely death in the community sets off a chain of events that come to a head with the arrival of a mysterious black void in the Abbotts’ west pasture. Imogen Poots, Lili Taylor, Tamara Podemski, Lewis Pullman, Tom Pelphrey, Noah Reid, Shaun Sipos, Isabel Arraiza, Olive Abercrombie and Will Patton also star.

Serinda Swan (Coroner), Ferdinand Kingsley (Sandman) and Rory Cochrane (Winning Time) are set as series regulars opposite Alan Ritchson in the upcoming second season of Prime Video’s Reacher. Also joining the cast are guest star Domenick Lombardozzi (Magnum P.I.), along with Luke Bilyk (DeGrassi: The Next Generation), Dean McKenzie (Shooter), Edsson Morales (Black Summer), Andres Collantes (Two Sentence Horror Stories), Shannon Kook-Chun (The 100), Ty Victor Olsson (Supernatural), Josh Blacker (See), and Al Sapienza (Coroner). As previously announced, Maria Sten will return for Season 2 as Frances Neagley and Shaun Sipos will play David O’Donnell. Filming will begin this month.
