Sean Ono Lennon has shared a psychedelic reworking of the Temples’ song ‘Gamma Rays’ – check it out below.Released on Tuesday (December 5), the track sees the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist take a new approach to the original Temples’ track, and reimagine it with more of a hazy, psychedelic voicing. The original track featured on Temples’ recent fourth album, ‘Exotico’, which arrived earlier this year, and had a more electronica-infused retro sound. It also follows Lennon’s pre-existing history with the members – working alongside James Bagshaw and co. to produce and record the aforementioned 2023 album, as well as on their single ‘Paraphernalia’, which arrived back in 2020.“Gamma Rays is where the journey began in the studio with Sean, so it felt right to return to the start and allow him free rein to take it from ‘Exotico’ into outer space,” Tom Walmsley of Temples said about Lennon’s new version of the song. The new version of the track also comes accompanied by a mind-bending animated music video, created by Micah Buzan.

Do it!” The killer’s words will be part of a new Apple TV+ documentary, “John Lennon: Murder Without a Trial,” released Wednesday, ahead of the 43rd anniversary of the murder on Friday. It will also detail the Beatle’s last moments described on camera for the first time by two of the witnesses to his murder — and how his final words were: “I’m shot.”The documentary casts new light on how Chapman, 68, who has repeatedly failed in his bids to be paroled for the murder, confessed to it behind bars, claiming he shot Lennon because he was “a phony.”Under hypnosis, in preparation for a trial that was slated to have him pleading insanity, Chapman recalled sitting on the curb, seeing a black limo pull up to the building. The door opened and Yoko Ono emerged.

Paul McCartney reflects on The Beatles’ new song ‘Now and Then’: ‘John’s voice, crystal clear’

‘Daytime Revolution’ Revisits the Remarkable Week John Lennon and Yoko Ono Co-Hosted ‘The Mike Douglas Show’ in 1972 (EXCLUSIVE)

Addie Morfoot Contributor Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon have authorized “Daytime Revolution,” a documentary about the week John Lennon and Ono co-hosted “The Mike Douglas Show” in early 1972, a few months after the release of their single “Happy Christmas (War Is Over).” The Shout! Studios, Creative Differences, and CBS Media Ventures feature docu uses archival footage from each of the five 70-minute shows as well as interviews with six surviving guests, including Ralph Nader, to tell the behind-the-scenes story of the unprecedented week. While Ono and her son did not participate on camera, the duo approved and creatively consulted on the project. Directed by Erik Nelson, the 108-minute docu recently wrapped production and is looking for a distributor as Ono prepares to celebrate her 90th birthday Feb. 18. “It’s become a cliche that Woodstock was the defining moment of the counterculture,” Nelson says, but “when I watched these broadcasts in their entirety, I realized that, in reality, this week in 1972, when John Lennon and Yoko Ono essentially hijacked the airwaves and presented the best minds and dreams of their generation to the widest possible mass audience of what was then called ‘Middle America,’ was as far as the counterculture would ever get. Not just music but a prescient blueprint for the future we now live in.”
