Ephraim Sykes, the Tony-nominated actor of Broadway’s Ain’t Too Proud and Hamilton, will join Brandon Victor Dixon, Lillias White and Walter Bobbie in the world premiere Off Broadway musical Black No More in January.

Ethan Hawke and John Leguizamo will star in an Off Broadway streaming production of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting For Godot, directed by Scott Elliott and premiering online Tuesday, May 6.

A Utah police officer is accused of abducting a family member on Thanksgiving amid a bizarre outburst in which the officer allegedly believed he was “being watched by an unknown organization,” according to recent reports. South Jordan Master Officer Scott Elliott Russell has been placed on administrative leave with pay following Thursday’s events, local affiliate FOX13 Salt Lake City and The Salt Lake Tribune reported.

The Roots’ lead MC Black Thought will contribute music and lyrics to a stage adaptation of George S. Schuyler’s 1931 novel Black No More, as Rolling Stone points out. According to RS, Black Thought will also star in the musical version of Schuyler’s Harlem Renaissance-era book. Black No More is slated to premiere at Pershing Square Signature Center in October 2020 during the New Group’s 2020 to 2021 theatrical season.
