But the singer, 26, looked unrecognisable from her X Factor days as she joined Dermot O'Leary on the This Morning sofa on Friday to discuss her recent success across the pond.

The X Factor 2018 finalist Scarlett Lee has only gone and auditioned for American Idol. Six years after finishing as runner-up in Simon Cowell's UK singing competition, which saw Dalton Harris showered with confetti at the time, 26-year-old Scarlett looked a different person while covering 'Clown' by Emeli Sandé infront of judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan recently. Gone was her dark fake tan, but she did once again opt for a red dress for the occasion.

The 25 year old star was a runner-up in the 2018 series, but at the time, she often opted for a heavy makeup look as she took to the stage to perform for Simon Cowell and the rest of the judges. What's more, the star wore her brunette locks in their natural thick curls, often brushing them back into a big bouffant.

Former X Factor finalist Scarlett Lee concerned fans as she revealed she was rushed to hospital with a mystery illness.The singer, who came runner-up in the 2018 series of the competitive ITV singing series, took to her Instagram Story earlier this week to share an image of herself hooked up to a drip as she sat in a blue hospital chair.The 24 year old added the timestamp of 3.11am, and she added a sad face emoji to the post that concerned her fans. Scarlett did not reveal what was wrong and has not spoken about her sudden visit to the hospital again. Scarlett initially appeared on The X Factor back in 2017 but did not make it through the first round.
