HBO has renewed banking drama series Industry for a third season.

Paramount+ may have culled a wealth of international originals in the past couple of weeks but that hasn’t stopped it committing to a UK thriller series set in a world where men live under a strict nightly curfew.

David Leon has reprised his role as DS Joe Ashworth in ITV's Vera after a decade away from the series, but he also starred in a forgotten TV role and had a football career. The actor, 43, who first starred in the ITV drama from 2011 to 2014, returned to his role with a bang on Sunday, January 7, much to the delight of Vera fans as series 13 kicked off.The new series also welcomed back Brenda Blethyn playing the titular detective, DCI Vera Stanhope, while Kenny Doughty, who played Aiden Healy and Ibinabo Jack, who portrayed DC Jacqueline Williams have not returned for this series.

David Leon is arguably best known for starring in ITV series Vera as DS Joe Ashworth, but many will also recognise him from a number of other TV series including Cutting It. The 43 year old star, who has reprised his role in Vera after nine years away from the show, starred in the BBC drama back in 2004. He portrayed coffee shop manager Troy Gillespie, who was also the half-brother of Mia Bevan, portrayed by Amanda Holden.

Amanda Holden has paid a touching tribute to her son Theo, who was stillborn, as she lit a candle in his memory at the end of Baby Loss Awareness week. The 51 year old Britain's Got Talent judge's son Theo was heartbreakingly stillborn at 28 weeks in 2011.  Amanda took to Instagram on Saturday to light a Wave of Light candle, which is a globally recognised event, in which people light candles in honour of baby loss.

Sarah Parish has been airlifted home after fracturing her spine and breaking her ribs while on holiday in Turkey.The actress was enjoying a relaxing holiday before she suffered a nasty fall on Saturday night and was hospitalised.The 53-year-old took to Instagram to update fans on her health after the accident and revealed she was back in the UK. “I’m home!” the Instagram story read, “Thank you @thejimmurray for getting me here and sorting everything out.
