At one point, Brunson said, “After doing Janine for months straight on ‘Abbott,’ I remember getting so excited to come do another thing in a way that almost felt juvenile,” to which Scott replied, “But that was announced, right? We can say it — you’re guest starring on ‘Party Down.'” “I don’t think that was announced,” Brunson replied.

It seems like a pretty substantial chunk of entertainment news within the last few weeks has been about revivals and reboots of various television series. Whether it’s studios cropping new streaming platforms (I’m looking at you Paramount+) or already-established services doubling down on pre-existing IP (à la the return of “Dexter” on Showtime), the nostalgia-propelled potential of these properties is clearly too lucrative to be dismissed.
