East Kilbride hospital boss confirms dozens of COVID intensive care patients evacuated in blaze
East Kilbride hospital has confirmed that the blaze last night broke out in ward one, which was caring for 13 COVID patients.And Russell Coulthard, site director at University Hospital Hairmyres, has praised staffs' swift action which saw all patients evacuated safely.Investigations into the blaze, which began just before 10pm, are ongoing and the fire service confirmed at total of three wards were evacuated.Three crews raced to the scene after the alarm was raised.Emergency patients are
