Peacock has renewed its action-comedy series Twisted Metal—and no, we’re not clowning around.
EXCLUSIVE: Audiences seem to be racing through Peacock’s latest series Twisted Metal.
Sophia Scorziello editor Peacock has released the official trailer for “The Continental,” the latest addition to the “John Wick” franchise. The Mel Gibson-led miniseries is a prequel to the films starring Keanu Reeves, and centers around Winston Scott (Colin Woodell), who came to acquire The Continental, a notorious chain of hotels that Scott established as a neutral haven for housing assassins. “The Continental” is an enthralling ode to New York in the 1970s, featuring Donna Summer songs, Studio 54-esque club scenes and lots and lots of guns against the backdrop of the city’s dark and dirty streets.
Peacock.“It’s the apocalypse – please don’t put lip gloss on me!” Beatriz, 42, told The Post. “I struggle when I watch television [set in a dystopia] and the world is on fire and everything is awful, and you’ve got an actress coming in and her hair is perfectly waved, and her skin looks gorgeous,” she said. “Especially as a new mom shooting it — I was like, ‘F–k it. Marvel fans got their first look at Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine return via Deadpool 3 on Monday, as Ryan Reynolds took to his Instagram stories with a new still from the film. In it, Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth is seen walking with a super-suited Wolverine in black and yellow.
Zack Sharf Digital News Director Hugh Jackman promised fans that his return as Wolverine in the upcoming “Deadpool 3” would not screw with “Logan,” the 2017 “X-Men” tentpole that brought an end to the superhero’s movie arc by killing him off. It appears Jackman was telling the truth, as a first look at “Deadpool 3” shared on Jackman and co-star Ryan Reynolds’ Instagram finds Wolverine sporting his classic yellow and blue costume from the comic books. This appears not to be the iteration of Wolverine that Jackman previously brought to the screen as the superhero has never worn this costume on the big screen before. “Deadpool 3” is currently in production. The film is being helmed by Shawn Levy, who last directed Reynolds in “Free Guy” and the Netflix tentpole “The Adam Project.” Not much is known about the film’s plot, but it clearly involves the multiverse as Deadpool joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time after a string of solo movies produced under Fox.

Created by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (both of whom went on to a successful screenwriting career, including the “Deadpool” films), “Joe Schmo” made waves when it first debuted for parodying the then-relatively new and white-hot reality competition genre.

EXCLUSIVE: Skydance’s spy action comedy, Ghosted, is the most watched movie debut to date in AppleTV+ history per Samba TV.
Following their grand Marvel success, filmmaking pair the Russo Brothers have irked many moviegoing audiences, filmmakers, journalists, and very-online social media audiences. Like James Cameron before them and his brand of smug irritation, their success has seemingly inflated an arrogance in them, and or, their epic box office accomplishments have made the media hang on to their every word and prop it up as something worth quoting (and we’re guilty of this too).
ghosts; people (including romantic interests) we have abruptly stopped responding to hoping they’d just disappear without a confrontation. In actor-turned-director Dexter Fletcher’s spy rom-com “Ghosted”—a cookie-cutter but adequately fun flick that could’ve used some sharpening up on the page—Sadie Rhodes (Ana de Armas) has countless ghosts in her past, and not just the romantic kind. Posing as an art curator but working as a deadly and powerful CIA spy, Sadie simply doesn’t have the time to keep those ghosts alive and well.
Owen Gleiberman Chief Film Critic The romantic action comedy has always had a breathlessly eager-to-please, overstuffed quality. You might say it’s a what’s-not-to-like genre. We laugh! With pulses racing! And swoon at the moonstruck chemistry! In a superior rom-act-com, like “Romancing the Stone” or “Out of Sight” or “True Lies” or the new “Murder Mystery” sequel, the action is the romance — it’s how the characters connect. (One way the form extends vintage Hollywood screwball is that it tends to be about couples who so dislike each other that only by joining in death-defying scrapes can they melt the ice.) But then there are movies like “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” where the love gets sandwiched between vehicular mayhem so aggressive it’s played for “laughs,” and the too-muchness of the whole thing becomes like one of those fast-food fusion experiments. Sorry, but the movie escapism equivalent of a burger topped with a quesadilla served with cheese fries is not my idea of a good time.

Shawn Levy, who recently worked with Reynolds on “Free Guy” and “The Adam Project,” will direct the film from a script from returning “Deadpool” writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick alongside Zeb Wells.

Julia MacCary editor Apple TV+ dropped the trailer for the upcoming rom-com turned thriller “Ghosted,” which stars Chris Evans and Ana de Armas. The trailer shows Evans’ character Cole certain that Sadie (de Armas) is not just “ghosting” him, or ignoring his texts, after one date. Convinced they are meant to be together, he travels to London in what he hopes to be a romantic gesture, only to discover Sadie is not the person he thought, and is actually part of the CIA. What ensues is a spy-thriller where “action speaks louder than words.” De Armas joins the film after her recent Oscar nomination for “Blonde.” Her credits also include “Deep Water,” “Blade Runner 2049” and “No Time to Die.” Evans has played Captain America in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films, as well as performed in “Before We Go,” “Gifted” and “Playing It Cool.” Evans and de Armas previously acted together in “Knives Out” and “The Gray Man.”
