Despite “Venom” already proving, for better or worse, that you don’t need Spider-Man to make a successful “Spider-Man” movie, it seems like Sony remains skeptical to the success of its own Marvel Universe. What was meant to be the first female superhero team-up for Sony, “Silver & Black,” was then split into separate solo films, but now the film’s original director, Gina Prince-Bythewood, says Sony is unsure about the project’s future without Spider-Man.
