SEVENTEEN have announced their first-ever compilation album, titled ’17 Is Right Here’, due out later this month.The K-pop boyband first announce ’17 Is Right Here’ at the end of their ‘Follow Again’ encore concerts in Incheon this past weekend (March 30 and 31) to fans in attendance. SEVENTEEN leader S.Coups has received an exemption from mandatory military service, Pledis Entertainment has confirmed.In a statement to South Korean news outlet Edaily, Pledis Entertainment confirmed earlier reports that SEVENTEEN member S.Coups had been exempted from mandatory military service due to an injury.“Due to a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee joint, S.Coups underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery and anterolateral ligament reconstruction surgery,” the label explained, per Soompi.“Because it was a major surgery, he has been undergoing physical rehabilitation therapy for a long time, starting from last year up until now,” the label added. S.Coups had been absent from SEVENTEEN’s promotions for their ‘Seventeenth Heaven’ as well as the Asian leg of their ‘Follow’ tour since October last year due to the same injury.As a result of the severity of his injury and surgery, the South Korean military classified S.Coups as a Grade 5 during a medical examination determining his ability to serve the military.

SEVENTEEN singer Jeonghan will not be participating in upcoming schedules, including the ongoing ‘FOLLOW’ tour in Asia, after undergoing ankle surgery.Pledis Entertainment released a statement today (December 14) on fan community platform Weverse announcing that Jeonghan would be absent from group activities after undergoing an ankle surgery earlier this morning.The agency said that Jeonghan had “previously suffered an injury to his left ankle and has been receiving several conservative treatments”, but had been “highly determined to participate in all activities prearranged for this year”. As such, he continued to perform with the group “while getting regular checkups on his ankle with medical professionals”.However, Pledis Entertainment noted that Jeonghan’s ankle injury recently had worsened over the course of the band’s ongoing ‘FOLLOW’ tour.

fromis_9 will no longer make an appearance at the upcoming Las Vegas festival We Bridge.Today (March 29), the group’s label Pledis Entertainment announced on Twitter that fromis_9 will not participate in the We Bridge Music Festival, which is set to take place in Las Vegas on April 21 and 22. The girl group were set to perform on the festival’s second day, alongside ENHYPEN, ONEUS, BE’O and VIVIZ.In its statement, Pledis Entertainment said that “it has become difficult for the group to take part in the event due to internal schedule adjustments”, although it did divulge any specifics regarding the situation.“After discussions with the event host and the members, it has been agreed that fromis_9 will not be participating in the show on Saturday, April 22.

NU’EST member Hwang Min-hyun has made his solo debut with his new mini-album ‘Truth or Lie’, led by the title track ‘Hidden Side’.On February 27 at 6PM KST, the 27-year-old singer released his debut mini-album ‘Truth or Lie’ and its lead single ‘Hidden Side’. In the sleek new visual, Hwang teleports between a drab office and a crowded club where approaching a woman, who becomes intrigued after he seems to disappear into thin air.“Can you see? Timing that will captivate you with no warning / Privacy reflected in your eyes / Fill the scene in your heart with me,” he sings in the groovy chorus.In addition to ‘Hidden Side’, Hwang’s new mini-album includes five B-sides, ‘Honest’, ‘Crossword’, ‘Perfect Type’, ‘Smile’ and ‘CUBE’.Hwang is the third NU’EST member to go solo, following Baekho with ‘Absolute Zero’ in October 2022 and Kim Jong-hyun (formerly JR) with ‘MERIDIEM’ in November 2022.
