Bargain Hunt expert Roo Irvine has shared the story behind her landing her role on the BBC show.The presenter has become a staple our TV screens, often making appearances as an expert on Antiques Road Trip and Bargain Hunt. Roo, 42, found fame in 2018 after joining the Bargain Hunt team. However, prior to this she had a very different career and had been working in marketing.

In a first for Antiques Road Trip, Paul Laidlaw found an item in an antique store that ended up selling for a whopping £20,000. In an episode which aired in 2021, the auctioneer discovered a rare old camera for just £60, and was shocked when it sold for such a high price at a Bury St. Edmunds auction in Suffolk, alongside fellow expert Kate Bliss.
