The Osbournes reveal who they want to play Ozzy and Sharon in a biopic

Kelly Osbourne have revealed who they think should play their parents in a biopic about the couple.Speaking on a recent episode of The Osbournes Podcast, the two siblings spoke about the possible project, which was announced to be in development back in 2020, and officially confirmed in 2021.Bringing up the conversation about their movie, Jack asked the question: “Who do you want to play you guys”?, prompting Kelly to say: “I know who I want to play mum — Florence Pugh. I think Florence Pugh would do a fantastic [job].”Pugh, 28, recently starred in the critically acclaimed Dune: Part Two, as well as Oscar Best Picture winner Oppenheimer.Sharon, who has been a contestant on the latest season of Celebrity Big Brother, added: “I think Florence Pugh or the little girl from Game of Thrones,” referring to Maisie Williams.Jack then chimed in with: “You know who I want to play dad? Bill Hader.”He continued: “Everyone thinks I’m fucking crazy until I show a side-by-side picture, and then that guy’s ability to morph.”Jack then showed his father a photograph of the American comedy actor, to which Ozzy responded: “Fuck off!” His wife disagreed, repeatedly agreeing with Jack and saying: “I think he could nail it.”No recent updates to the biopic’s development have been made, however according to the podcast it is set to explore the famous couple’s relationship from 1979 to 1999, covering the rise of Ozzy’s career as the lead vocalist of Black Sabbath.Ozzy made a witty remark on the podcast about the stagnant project saying: “By the time we finish this film I’ll be dead.”Kelly added that she is “staying out of” the movie.

Bill Pohlad On ‘Dreamin’ Wild’ With His Third Feature As Director – Crew Call Podcast

Oscar-nominated producer Bill Pohlad has a long history of aligning himself with auteurs on award-winning fare—from Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain to Terrence Malick on the Palme d’Or winning The Tree of Life to Steve McQueen’s Oscar Best Picture winner 12 Years a Slave, and getting financially behind them with his River Road Entertainment banner. We talk with Pohlad on Crew Call today about his third career feature as director, Dreamin’ Wild, based on the New York Times Steven Kurutz article about the Fruitland, WA-based Emerson brothers whose dad literally bet the farm (mortgaging it to the tune of $100K) on the duo’s singing talents in the 1970s, and built them a studio. They didn’t make it initially — not until 2008 when the album they made some near 40 years prior, “Dreamin’ Wild,” was discovered by a record collector in Spokane, Jack Fleischer, and championed fervently. The record’s single “Baby” ultimately became a cult hit when it was covered by Ariel Pink in 2012. Casey Affleck plays Donnie Emerson, the aorta of the songwriting duo, who grapples with the mid-life crisis of finding some facet of fame, when all seemed forever lost.

‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’: SXSW’s First World Premiere To Win Oscar’s Best Picture

Some in the industry might be irked that the Oscars and SXSW are colliding on the same weekend this year, however, it’s a win-win for both tonight: For a year ago, A24’s Everything Everywhere All at Once blasted off here in Austin, TX as the festival’s opening night film. These Oscar Best Picture winners wouldn’t get the award in 2023

Hollywood Reporter survey found that a majority would like to go back and change their 1977 votes for “Rocky” to “All the President’s Men.” And looking back at 1999, if they had to do it all over again, they’d give the gold to war epic “Saving Private Ryan” instead of the largely-forgotten “Shakespeare in Love.” But there have been a lot more recipients of Hollywood’s highest honor that have fallen out of favor — and sometimes in epic fashion. Here are 11 examples of Best Picture winners that probably wouldn’t win the award in 2023 — that is, if they were even green-lighted in the first place.

What Were the 10 Buzziest Movies From the 2023 Sundance Film Festival?

Three. Frustrating. Years. That’s how much time has passed since the Sundance Film Festival last held an in-person edition in Park City, Utah. (Put it this way: The opening night selection was the Taylor Swift documentary, Miss Americana, which chronicled the making of her 2018 album of Reputation. So, like, ancient history.) Blame the pandemic, of course. Because of safety fears, attendees couldn’t be in the room for the premiere of the eventual Oscar Best Picture winner, Coda, or cheer along for Questlove and the first screening of his own future Oscar pic, Summer of Soul. No sightings of a random Real Housewives star on the bustling Main Street. No napping during 8:30 AM screenings. No huffing and puffing walking in the snow in the frigid weather at high altitudes. No nothing.
