It’s been a busy week at Amazon as the restructure involving MGM takes hold.

EXCLUSIVE: After recently restructuring Amazon Studios’ original content operations, Head of Television Vernon Sanders is now setting up the MGM scripted TV leadership with new roles for Lindsay Sloane, Sr. EVP of MGM Scripted TV, and Rola Bauer, President of International TV for MGM. Teen Wolf alum Arden Cho has confirmed that she passed on joining Paramount+’s revival movie after learning that she was offered far less money than her white and/or male co-stars.

It’s official: Teen Wolf alum Tyler Hoechlin will return to reprise his role as Derek Hale in Paramount+’s upcoming Teen Wolf The Movie.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterThe “Teen Wolf” revival movie at Paramount Plus has added five actors to the cast, including multiple returning stars of the original series.The new cast members are: Ian Bohen returning as Peter Hale; Vince Mattis as Eli Hale, fifteen year-old son of Derek Hale; Nobi Nakanishi as Deputy Ishida; Khylin Rhambo returning as Mason Hewitt; and Amy Lin Workman as Hikari Zhang. Nakanishi had also previously appeared on the original “Teen Wolf” in a different role, playing Young Katashi in two episodes of Season 3.The quintet joins previously announced stars Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Crystal Reed, Orny Adams, Linden Ashby, JR Bourne, Colton Haynes, Ryan Kelley, Melissa Ponzio, and Dylan Sprayberry in the film revival of the beloved MTV drama series. In the film, a terrifying evil emerges in Beacon Hills.

Two more heavily recurring players from MTV’s Teen Wolf series are slated to reprise their roles in the upcoming movie sequel movie for Paramount+ — Ian Bohen as Peter Hale and Khylin Rhambo as Mason Hewitt. Additionally, Vince Mattis, Nobi Nakanishi and Amy Lin Workman have been cast in the project, from the 2011 series’ developer Jeff Davis, MTV Entertainment Studios and MGM’s Orion Television.

Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey is set to reprise his role as Scott McCall in Paramount+’s upcoming movie sequel to the 2011 MTV series. Eleven other series regular and recurring cast members of the original series are set for the full-length reunion film, including Crystal Reed, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes and Shelley Hennig, the streamer’s chief content officer of unscripted entertainment and adult animation Chris McCarthy announced during today’s ViacomCBS Investors Event.
