A brand new series starts tonight on BBC and it features some cast members who you may recognise from popular TV shows. This Town will premiere on BBC One on Easter Sunday (March 31) and is created and written by Peaky Blinders creator, Steven Knight.

Peacock‘s limited suspense thriller Long Bright River, based on the New York Times bestseller by Liz Moore, has added six in recurring roles: Dash Mihok (Ray Donovan), Britne Oldford (Dead Ringers), Matthew Del Negro (City on a Hill), Harriet Sansom Harris (Hacks), Patch Darragh (Succession), and Perry Mattfeld (In the Dark).

Dash Mihok (“Ray Donovan,” “Romeo + Juliet”), Britne Oldford (“Dead Ringers,” “The Umbrella Academy”), Matthew Del Negro (“The Sopranos,” “City on a Hill”), Harriet Sansom Harris (“Licorice Pizza,” “Phantom Thread”), Patch Darragh (“Succession,” “The Path”), and Perry Mattfeld (“In the Dark,” “Shameless”) have all joined the series. They will appear alongside Seyfried and previously announced cast members Nicholas Pinnock, Ashleigh Cummings, Callum Vinson and John Doman.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter The upcoming Peacock series adaptation based on the Liz Moore novel “Long Bright River” has added three new series regulars, Variety has learned. Ashleigh Cummings, Callum Vinson, and John Doman have all joined the show alongside previously announced lead Amanda Seyfried as well as Nicholas Pinnock. The series is described as a suspense thriller that “tells the story of Mickey (Seyfried), a police officer who patrols a Philadelphia neighborhood hard-hit by the opioid crisis.

Ashleigh Cummings (Citadel), Callum Vinson (Chucky), and John Doman (The Wire) have landed roles on Long Bright River, Peacock’s limited suspense thriller led by Amanda Seyfried and Nicholas Pinnock. No word yet on the characters they’ll be playing in this adaptation of Liz Moore’s same-name New York Times bestseller.

Nicholas Pinnock (The Book of Clarence) has been set for the male lead in Peacock‘s limited series suspense thriller Long Bright River, Deadline has learned. He’s set to star opposite Amanda Seyfried, who will also serve as executive producer.

BBC has released a series of first look images of This Town, the new drama series from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.Set in 1981, the six-part series centres on a band’s formation against a backdrop of violence, and is described as a love letter to Birmingham and Coventry, featuring fierce new music.The cast is led by a number of rising stars, including Levi Brown (Loss and Return), Jordan Bolger (The Woman King), Ben Rose (Line of Duty) and Eve Austin (You) as its four young leads.This Town also stars Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey), Nicholas Pinnock (Marcella), and David Dawson (My Policeman).In the first look images, the one above shows leads Ben Rose as Bardon Quinn, Jordan Bolger as Gregory Williams and Levi Brown as Dante Williams walking down a street.Another image shows Brown as Dante Williams in a record store, and in a third photo he’s pictured sharing a moment with Austin’s Jeannie Keefe in a dressing room.Dockery’s Estella and Pinnock’s Deuce Williams are also pictured getting ready to perform. Shedding his blue CG ensemble, Flatters, who plays Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington’s eldest Na’avi son in James Cameron’s billion-dollar smash, reverts to type in “Black Dog” as a London teenager taking a road trip up North. Flatters co-wrote the British indie feature with his friend George Jaques (“The Serpent Queen”), who will also direct. “Black Dog” represents both Flatters and Jaques’ feature screenwriting debut.

Nick Vivarelli International Correspondent An English-language reimagining of the world of Sergio Corbucci’s cult 1966 spaghetti western “Django,” which launched the career of Italian icon Franco Nero, is set to launch from the Rome Film Festival in October. The high–concept TV series, titled “Django,” will play in 2023 exclusively on Sky and its streaming service NOW in all countries where Sky operates, including the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Germany and Austria. It will also air on Canal+ in France, Switzerland, Benelux and Africa. The Rome Film Festival runs from Oct. 13-23. The 10-episode “Django” show stars Matthias Schoenaerts (“Rust and Bone,” “Bullhead”) as the iconic gunman who is the title character, alongside Nicholas Pinnock (“For Life”) as John Ellis, described as the “visionary founder” of the town of New Babylon. Lisa Vicari (“Dark”) plays Django’s daughter Sarah and Noomi Rapace (Millennium Trilogy) has the adversarial role of John’s powerful and ruthless enemy Elizabeth Thurman.

Naman Ramachandran Nicholas Pinnock (“For Life”) will play world heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali in “A God Amongst Men.” The film, co-written and to be directed by James Newton (“2:Hrs”), also stars Christopher Eccleston (“Dodger”), and is based on the true story of Ali’s visit to Tyneside, U.K., in 1977. The film is co-written by Ian Skelton (“Hey Duggee”). Newton said: ” ‘A God Amongst Men’ is based upon the true story of how one man, Johnny Walker, outrageously claimed that he would bring Muhammad Ali to Tyneside in 1977 to save a boxing club from closure.
