Clooney plays Augustine Lofthouse, a scientist attempting to travel through the Arctic Circle with a wide-eyed young girl at his side, all in order to stop a spaceship returning to earth after a global catastrophe.

 Amal Clooney  wasn’t quick to say yes to  George Clooney ’s marriage proposal. While promoting his new Netflix sci-fi film   The Midnight Sky , the Oscar winner revealed to CBS Sunday Morning that his-now wife took her time before accepting his proposal in 2014.

Though he seems to always find himself in the news, whether it’s for his activism or the fact that he sold his alcohol company for $1 billion, it’s been several years since we’ve seen George Clooney on the big screen. Well, later this year, Clooney not only stars in the film, “The Midnight Sky,” but he’s also the film’s director in a sci-fi, futuristic space film that has startling connections to our current state of the world.
