It’s been nearly two years since the Season 1 finale of the Michael Waldron-created series “Heels” aired.

We’re still a little surprised director Sam Raimi decided to return to the world of Marvel Comics for “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness.” Having already directed a trilogy of “Spider-Man” films and walking away from a fourth film, it had seemed that Raimi had exhausted himself with the genre. But Raimi apparently had a great time making the ‘Doctor Strange’ sequel, and he apparently is willing to do more in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Glen Powell is headed to Hulu to star in a new football series that he co-created.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Hulu has ordered the half-hour comedy series “Chad Powers” from Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, Variety has learned. Powell will star in the series in addition to co-creating and co-writing the pilot with Waldron, with both serving as executive producers. The show is based on the Chad Powers character created by Eli Manning for his EPSN+ docuseries “Eli’s Places.” Manning wanted to learn more about the walk-on process for college football, so he donned a wig and prosthetic makeup so he could go undercover during the Penn State football tryouts.

Hulu has given a series order to Chad Powers, a half-hour comedy based on an Eli Manning sketch that aired on ESPN+.

EXCLUSIVE: Michael Waldron has been tapped to write Marvel Studios‘ Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Waldron had already been set to write the installment that would follow Kang Dynasty and will now write both films. Waldron has become one of Marvel’s most trusted creative minds having previously created and served as showrunner of season 1 of Loki as well as writing Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness and the move make sense to the studio to have him pen both films. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will produce.

When Marvel finds a writer or filmmaker they like, particularly Kevin Feige, the studio tends to hang on to them. And perhaps recently, no one in the current Marvel Studios bullpen has done more repeat business with Marvel Studios with writer/producer Michael Waldron.

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter “Loki” creator Michael Waldron has been hired to write the screenplay for “Avengers: Kang Dynasty.” He was already on board to pen the sequel, “Avengers: Secret Wars,” which will conclude this stretch — known as the Multiverse Saga — of the interconnected Marvel Cinematic Universe. The films will presumably be connected, à la the two-part tale of 2018’s “Infinity War” and 2019’s “Endgame,” “Kang Dynasty” is currently scheduled to land in theaters on May 1, 2026. It will be succeeded by “Avengers: Secret Wars” on May 7, 2027.

Specifically, “Heels,” “Run the World,” and “Blindspotting” will not get new seasons at the cable network, while “The Venery of Samantha Bird” Season 1 is being scrapped without airing. “Heels,” “Run the World,” and “Blindspotting” all recently aired their second season at Starz, while “The Venery of Samantha Bird” was in production on its first season.

The new season of the pro wrestling drama will drop on July 28 at midnight on the Starz App before its linear debut on Starz at 10 p.m.ET/PT that same day. In the trailer, Jack Spade (Stephen Amell) is dealing with the fallout from the events of the Season 1 finale, including a complete breakdown of his relationship with his brother Ace (Alexander Ludwig) as well as with his wife Staci (Alison Luff). Meanwhile, Crystal (Kelli Berglund) is itching to defend the DWL championship in the ring, while Charlie Gully (Mike O’Malley) is out for revenge against Jack and the DWL.

Do you folks remember, not that long ago, during Star Wars Celebration, when Kathleen Kennedy told the press that Kevin Feige was never really attached to a “Star Wars” film and it was just the fandom that made it all up? She actually said, “We never discussed an idea,” and basically, gaslit everyone into thinking it was all a rumor. Of course, we know that’s not true because Feige talked about it, Michael Waldron talked about being hired to write a script, and now, we have the Russo Brothers, who not only confirm that Feige was working on a “Star Wars” film with Lucasfilm but that they were discussing possibly signing on to direct.

Vary Senior Entertainment Writer Marvel Studios is one step closer to “Secret Wars.” The company has tapped “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” screenwriter Michael Waldron to write the script for 2025’s “Avengers: Secret Wars,” the climactic final film in the Multiverse Saga. Waldron has been instrumental in crafting the multiverse within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He created and served as head writer on the 2021 Disney+ series “Loki,” in which the single, sacred Marvel timeline was ultimately fractured into a multiplicity of alternative realities. In “Doctor Strange 2,” Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) encounters several new dimensions, and in the film’s mid-credits scene, he meets Clea (Charlize Theron), a sorcerer from the Dark Dimension who tells Strange that his multiverse-hopping adventures have caused an “incursion.”

Michael Waldron must have a pretty damn good relationship with Kevin Feige, huh?
