Ahead of his upcoming judging gig on world first spin-off MasterChef Dessert Masters, alongside Melissa Leong, Amaury will be making a very special appearance in the MasterChef Secrets and Surprises Grand Finale on Sunday the 16th of July. 

Taking to his Instagram shortly after his victory aired, Brent remained true to his roots, earnest in his celebrations.

Veteran MasterChef judge Melissa Leong will judge the series alongside world-famous French-Swiss pastry chef Amaury Guichon. 

This time around, Julie took part in the cooking competition as a guest judge, something Julie has described as a "completely different experience."

Jock Zonfrillo was farewelled in an emotional service on Saturday, with high profile celebrities and chefs rallying around his heartbroken family to pay tribute. The MasterChef judge, who died on April 30 aged 46, was laid to rest in a private funeral in Sydney on Saturday, surrounded by 200 family members and friends. The star's widow Lauren Fried, who shares children Alfie, six, and Isla, two, with her late husband, was among the pallbearers who led the close-knit group of mourners into the service - and she gave an emotional eulogy to her late husband.

His death is said to have been unexpected and "sudden", however, it has not been deemed suspicious by police. In Jock's last social media post before his tragic passing, he shared his excitement for the newest series of Masterchef Australia, which was set to air today but has since been pulled in light of Jock's passing.
