Outlander fans got the news they've been waiting for on Thursday, August 4, with the announcement that Starz is set to develop a new prequel series. Showrunners revealed the new show, which follow's the story of Jamie Fraser's parents Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser, will be called Blood of My Blood.

Alexander will play a young Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, originally played by Duncan LaCroix.
