APPOINTMENTSRange Media Partners last week formally confirmed the recent appointments of Lisa Wolfe as SVP Operations and Sam Drake as Director Of A&R & Publishing in its Range Music division. “Lisa Wolfe is an outstanding all-around executive with vast experience in the music business”, says Range co-founder Matt Graham.

Range Media Partners on Tuesday announced its formation of a music publishing division headed up by industry vet Casey Robison.

Robison was most recently executive VP of A&R at Hipgnosis Songs, where he led the company’s pop division, working with songwriters and artists including Monsters & Strangerz (Jordan and Stefan Johnson), John Ryan, Julian Bunetta, Normani, Teddy Geiger, Imad Royal, Dan Wilson and others.

Range Media Partners on Wednesday announced its hiring of William Lowery and Shawn McSpadden, a pair of Nashville-based music industry veterans who will help it broaden the reach of label Range Music while continuing to work out of the Tennessee capital.

William Earl Joel Zimmerman, one of the top agents in electronic dance music (EDM) and a 13-year veteran of WME, has joined Range Media Partners as a partner in the company’s music division. Range, launched two years ago, is helmed by managing partners Matt Graham, Jack Minihan, Tyler Henry, Melissa Ruderman, Chris Thomas and Evan Winiker, and boasts a label partnership with Capitol Music Group (CMG) and Virgin Music & Artist Label Services (Virgin). Among its clients are Jack Harlow, Justin Tranter, Cordae, Midland, Nova Wav, Tyga, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Hailey Whitters, Lauv, MAX, HARV, Sean Douglas and Wondagurl, among others. While at WME, Zimmerman acted as primary agent for dozens of top acts, helping grow EDM into a billion-dollar business by representing such artists as Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams, 88rising, Steve Lacy, Avicii, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Psy, Kygo, Swedish House Mafia and Deadmau5 (whose real name is also Joel Zimmerman). His run at the agency followed the founding of Division One Talent in 2006, which was brought in-house to William Morris, marking the first time a department was specifically dedicated to EDM. There, Zimmerman helped establish long-term DJ residencies in Las Vegas and throughout the world.

Marcus will be represented by a core team consisting of Matt Graham, CJ Cook, Tyler Henry, Ben Grayson and Rich Cook.“Bert is a creative engine, his mind works at a million miles an hour,” Graham, Range Media Partners’ managing partner and head of music, said announcing the signing.

AMC Networks is giving several of its executives expanded responsibilities. Courtney Thomasma,Matt Graham and Blake Callaway are taking on additional oversight as the company reorients around its suite of targeted SVOD platforms, while maintaining delivery to its cable outlets.
